Description
In Oropesa del Mar’s historic centre in Castellón, in a quiet area strategically located just 1200 metres from the beach, is Casa Arizo. A large charming house in the Valencian modernist style, built in 1911 and carefully restored, respecting the architectural and decorative ethos of the time.
The typical structure of a Valencian hostel takes us back to the quiet and romantic life of the early 20th century, with evocative pieces in every corner, works of art by Valencian painters and furniture that combines a very careful aesthetic with today’s functional and technological needs.
Casa Arizo has six en-suite rooms with space for 12 people. The spacious main entrance kas kept original period items and leads onto the living room with a fireplace to make you feel at home. This area also has a kitchen and an interior patio, a small green oasis, for get togethers or to relax.
A wide staircase leads to the modernist floor where the original hydraulic flooring and high ceilings have been kept. On this floor there are three bedrooms each with their own bathroom. The upper floor houses three rooms, with sloping ceilings and original terracotta tile flooring.
Ceramics, with organic forms of nature and a nod towards the orient, form a key part of the design of this elegant construction of varied inspiraions.
